A loving memory

To all of you who are supporting us I give you our sincere thanks. Tonia has been touched as I have read your comments to her. I am sorry and yet happy to say that Tonia has finished her battle with both her pain racked earthly temple and the adversary that was always trying to wear her down. She left in typical Tonia fashion bravely hanging on for an extra 7 to 8 hours so that they could line up organ recipients. From what we were told there are 3 people today who were blessed by Tonia's last physical gift that she could give. She was suffering more then she was letting on in those final hours trying to hide it from those in attendance including her five children. She now enters a new chapter of life with her Heavenly Father and Brother Jesus Christ in whom she has faithfully trusted throughout her long and courageous battle. I believe she has been a hero to many and certainly is one of mine. I will miss her so very much as she is my Elfette and Eternal Companion. With all my Love, Ryan Eccles (Elf)

Ryan,

I am so grateful that you were able to be with Tonia during this transition to the next chapter in her life. We are going to miss her terribly, but find comfort in the fact that you are eternally sealed and will be together again.

I am also extreemly grateful that you allowed me to spend those precious moments with her on Tuesday and serve her and see her beautiful smile and feel her loving spirit.

Thank you for being her sweet and loving Elf and loving her the mostest. I know that she adores you and she feels so honored that you chose her as your wife and that she could serve and love you and the children for as long as she did.

Please let me know when her funeral is and if you need anything at all. I am planning on helping anyway I can.

Love to you all,

Tamie

I just wanted to say I am so sorry but yet I know Tonya was ready to go.. I got to know Tonya through one of her children Sage.. My son Bronson is her age.. Everytime I would run into Tonya in the store we would talk for hours.. just standing and talking.. I have come to love her spirit,, Her love of her family.. and her desire to be the best she can.. she has always amazed me how well she has delt with all the difficulties that have come her way.. I had the priviledge of taking her for a walk.. I pushed her around in her wheel chair and we went probable 3 miles.. it was so much fun talking to her.. she expressed her deep love for her Elf.. and told me of all the wonderful things he has done for her.. (reasoning for the nick name..) She loves her family deeply.. she told me that she knew her time was short.. and what she wanted most was to have a good relationship with her family.. each one of them so they would always remember how important they are to her... Her spirit has always touched my heart and my heart is deeply touched at this time, as I too grieve her passing. but know she is with her Heavenly Father that loves her so much.. and He too has missed her.. I will miss the walks and the long talks in the store.. I had told her when it warmed up we would go for more walks.. As the weather is warming.. I will miss out on that opportunity. I pray for your family.. That the Lord will bless you and support you I know he lives and loves all of us.. We are one whole family.. don't ever forget that.. There are many by your side.. I just wanted you to know how she has touched my life.. Jennifer Ashton..

Dear Chuck, Kaye, Ryan and Family...
Thank you for sharing Tonia's final days with us through this website. By watching her, she has strengthened us through her example of enduring to the end (with that great smile) while giving all the way. Her life was truly inspiring. It has left us wanting to do a little better and do a little more. We're certain she was greeted on the other side with the words "Well done, my good and faithful servant".
Ryan, we don't know you very well but know you are an extraordinary man. Chuck and Kaye have told us how amazing you are and how thankful they are for you. Thank you for taking care of our High School friend! She was wonderful then... just as she was when she left this earth.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We know the Lord will send his sweetest blessing to comfort you and your children.

Dear Eccles and Townsend Family,

Thank you for having this blog so that those of us who live far away could keep in touch during these final days of Tonia's life here on this earth.

I am so grateful to have known Tonia as a friend, and like you, I look forward to seeing her again, well and whole and happy.

May the love of our Father in Heaven carry each of you through the darkness of the valley in the coming weeks and months and years. Heavenly Father is real, and he is kind and good and merciful.
